Does my organization qualify?
If you are you a church, you qualify. If you are a school (public or private), you do too. Boy Scouts, Red Cross, humanitarian groups, homeless shelters, startups... absolutely. The list is long; you know who you are. If you qualify as an actual 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization(US) or Australia (http://www.ato.gov.au/Non-profit/Getting-started-for-non-profit-organisations/Is-your-organisation-non-profit-/), or if you are an educational institution, then you are welcome to take advantage of this service. We do not consider political campaigns, political parties, or government offices/agencies as "nonprofit" organizations. Our offer is intended for organizations or groups that qualify as either "startups" or "nonprofit" AND benefit the good of society as a whole. If we feel an applicant does not fit this description, we reserve the right to deny the applicant's request.
What am I expected to do in return?
We've got awesome products for nonprofits and startups and we don't charge a dime for it. Instead, we're asking you to help us spread the word so that other organizations can benefit from it as well. Once you've used it and also think it's awesome, you agree to do one or more of the following:
- Mention our service to at least two other people or organizations. There are many ways you can do this. Suggestions are in the next section.
- If possible, add a link* somewhere on your website that points to ours. You may use the following link structure and text:
- <a href="http://svbgroup.com.au" title="SVB Products and Services" > SVB Products and Services</a>
This is how the link will look:
- SVB Products and Services by SVB Group
* If you don't have a website, or there are circumstances which prevent you from putting a link on it, there are other ways you can tell people about us, so we will still serve you.
What can I do to tell other people about this?
Since we ask you to share the word with two other organizations (commercial or nonprofit) and link to our site (where possible), here are some ideas to get you started:
Tweet to your followers about us on Twitter.
Share information about our services when you answer questions on Stack Exchange, Quora, Scoop it and other similar sites.
Publish a press release about your work where you have used our products or services. Provide a reference in your PhD or Masters thesis.
+1 us on Google+ and write a little about your experience.
Share our site on Facebook, Pinterest, or LinkedIn.
People are searching for "SVB Group Reviews." Blog about us: critique the service, tell people about your experience, and get some extra traffic to your blog.
Post on forums, especially in response to others' questions.
Why give our product away to non-profits and start-ups?
There are a few reasons. First, we believe that lots of the best things in life (and on the web) are free. We'd like to get on that list. Also, we support non-profit organisations and educational institutions which labour for noble and worthy causes. Start-ups turn into small businesses, and small businesses are the backbone of our nation's economy. We support good posture. As always, our stellar customer service is extended to all of our customers, paying or not.
Is it the full products or limited functionality?
The full and complete version of our products is offered. Future updates and improvements are also included. You have to however request for the products at least once annually for each product. We leave nothing out, we know that you will keep your end of the bargain.
What about privacy? Will my data be sold or shared?
How long does your review process take?
Usually just a few business days, and sometimes even same-day. You can help by being sure to include your phone number on your account. If you are in a hurry, just give us a call.
How does Geocoding, Mapping make a difference for non-profits and start-ups?
Do you have a mailing list? Make sure you don't waste time sending out letters that won't arrive. Do you have a database of names and addresses? Making sure where your patronage lives will give you a good idea on gaps. Do you have profile information on them? you can analyse that quickly based on donations, length of patronage and so on. Your budget is a valuable resource; save every penny that you can! You can always talk to us to learn more ways on how you can use our awesome products.
